Who is this Whore of Babylon? To begin to understand this term and its significance, we must first understand the meaning of these words. A woman in Bible prophecy is a church, and a whore is an unfaithful woman. Babylon is the historic pagan empire that destroyed Jerusalem. So, therefore, the Whore of Babylon in the Bible is an unfaithful church, unfaithful to the word of God.
“If you love me, keep my Commandments.” ~John 14:15
The word of God tells us to keep His Commandments but the unfaithful church/this mother of harlots has changed the word of God to reflect their abominable desires.
There are many verses in the Bible revealing the identity of the whore of Babylon, also known as the Mother of Harlots. The reformers all agreed on her identity, it was never a point of contention. We simply need to accept the Biblical characteristics of this world power to easily recognize her identity.
We are seeing an increase in frequency as well as the intensity of natural disasters all over the world. The recent earthquakes in Mexico and Guatemala, the hurricane devastation of the Caribbean islands, as well as the extreme flooding in Texas, raging fires in Oregon, and now one of the worst hurricanes in history hitting Florida might make us begin to ponder this question. Why does God allow these things to happen when He could very well prevent them?
Here’s a bit of eye-opening truth…God is not to blame for these things! Sin is what has caused all of this planetary devolution to occur. We are living in a fallen world, a corrupted, deteriorating planet, along with everything on it. God is starting to remove His restraining hand from this world. So Satan is now unleashing his fury because he’s fully aware that his time is short. In the Bible God tells us of the coming of these end times events.

The degeneration of everything . . . all living creatures, animals and even plants. As well as the worsening of the weather and increase of planetary devastation are all the byproduct and the effect of a broken and fallen world.
Can God stop it? Yes. Will He stop it? Yes, but not until every person has made their decision either for or against Jesus. Not until everyone has heard of the gift of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus, and have made their choice, will this mess finally come to an end.

What a crystal clear image of the Church of Rome. Notice her colors — purple and scarlet; look at her riches and jewels, and she has a golden cup in her hand full of false doctrines which make people spiritually drunk when they believe them.
She is a mother church. This is exactly what the Roman power claims to be, hence the mother of harlots; and the Protestant churches which are therefore her daughters, i/e harlots because they have followed after her pagan doctrines. And she is indeed drunken with the blood of saints and martyrs for Jesus, as she has persecuted and killed them by the millions.
“I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.” ~Revelation 17:6
Jesus never wants His church to use the power of earthly governments and courts to make others obey her wishes. God gave us free will to choose for ourselves. He doesn’t desire that we be forced to believe and act in a certain way.
To believe in a certain way is the mark in our head, to act in a certain way is the mark in our hand. It is depicting what we think and how we act. And this is also the way we choose which mark we will receive; it is how we act on these thoughts that will determine whose mark we receive.
We need to first understand that many of the words have been changed in the newer revised versions of the Bible. The most blatant is the fact that almost all versions have changed this particular verse to read on their foreheads and on their hands.
This is in many verses but specifically in Revelation 13:16—the original King James Version says, IN not ON! This one little word change completely alters this most important message that God is telling us—it changes it in such a way that makes most people believe that this mark is a physical mark or some kind of tattoo—when in reality He is simply telling us that it is in our foreheads, in other words; in our thoughts and beliefs, and in our hands, in our actions and deeds!
God tells us in no uncertain terms not to change His perfect word, not to add to or take away so much as a single letter. This is exactly what these verse changes have done. They’ve done both, they have removed the letter i and added the letter o. Jesus then ends the entire Bible with the following warning on the last page of the last book.
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” ~Revelation 22:18-19

We need to remember that a woman in Bible prophecy is a church; a virgin woman is a faithful church— Christ’s virgin bride in blue—faithful to the Bible, having the seal of God as her mark; sealed for the day of redemption.

Unfaithful Harlot—Destroyed!
"O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed . . ." ~Psalms 137:8
Simply put . . . at the end of the age, the beginning of sorrows or birth pangs will take place. We need to know what the Bible says in order to understand that everything is happening right on time. God has predicted everything through His servants the prophets, and will see us through it to the end if we just hold tightly to Him!

This is the final results of disobedience to our Creator God. The Whore of Babylon will fall, and anyone that chooses of his own free will to follow after her false teachings will receive the same consequences.

Crime is running rampant, murder and rape are at an all time high. Sexual immorality, pornography, multiple sex partners, indulgence in unnatural lust/homosexuality/incest/ transgenderism, and abortion, as well as overindulgence in every possible thing. Pride and greed have become the all-consuming ruler of this present world.
Oh yes, I’d have to say we are most definitely heading into the last days. God tells us that once this order of event starts, it will not end until everything that God has predicted happens. And this is all the more reason to believe that soon Jesus will come again to execute judgment upon the evildoers and restore order, peace, love, and justice upon this earth.
