Jesus Christ or Santa Clause

Jesus Christ or Santa Claus?

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us.”   ~Matthew 1:23

Who are you teaching your children to believe in, Jesus . . . or Santa? The Santa Claus thing is the greatest hoax of all times! Just think about it, the devil made this switch right under our noses, and we didn’t even realize it. And, it was done so long ago that we’ve been so saturated with this tradition we don’t even see that it’s the workings of Satan!

I often wonder, how was I fooled for so long? I taught my own children to believe in Santa Claus. Then, when they got older I had to tell them I was lying to them all those years. Now the real problem arose when they asked me why they should believe that I wasn’t lying about the baby Jesus part as well?

Do we really think for one minute that God endorses us lying to our children, for any reason? Of course not, but that’s exactly where we place ourselves if we promote Santa to our kids. So why does this hoax of a lying tradition continue? It’s because we think we are denying them the fun of this childhood fantasy if we don’t carry it on.

Jesus Christ or Santa Clause

Unmasking Santa Claus...!

What is Christmas really suppose to represent anyway? The birth of a Savior, the day God came to earth as the baby Jesus, not Santa! If you compare Santa and Jesus side by side, the veil begins to disappear and you start to see the whole truth.

Just ask yourself these few questions:

  • Q: Why does Santa sit on a throne? Because King Jesus sits on the heavenly throne!
  • Q: Why the North Pole? Because it is the most high top of the whole world that God created!
  • Q: Why does Santa want to fill our greatest earthly desires? Because Jesus wants to give us eternity but tells us to care less about earthly things!
  • Q: Why does Santa have a naughty and nice list? Because Jesus has a list too, it’s called the Book of Life!
  • Q: Why coal for the bad children? Because Satan is fully aware this will be the ultimate end of those that refuse Jesus!
  • Q: Why the multitude of elfin helpers? Because Jesus has leagues of angles!
  • Q: Why does Santa come at night and sneak in? Because Jesus will come as a thief in the night at His second coming!
  • Q: Why does Santa ride on the clouds with his reindeer? Because Jesus will be riding the clouds on a white horse when He returns!
  • Q: Why can't anyone supposedly see Santa? Because God is invisible!
  • Q: Why does Santa have magic? Because Jesus is all-powerful!

Satan can’t stand Jesus getting all the attention, so he plops himself right in the middle of the whole Jesus story, the God is with us story. Satan has always been a counterfeit, and Santa is just another one of his many disguises. It’s time to take the mask off this God impersonator once and for all, and expose the truth of the whole Santa Claus deception.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”   ~Isaiah 14:12-14 KJV

Satan is the master of telling half-truths. There’s always just enough fact in his lies to make them believable. If you look at the following scenarios (with applicable Bible verses), you can easily see that the whole Santa Claus disguise is nothing more than another attempt to grab God’s authority—as Satan once said, I will be like the most high God!

Santa versus Jesus:

They both have a naughty and nice list Revelation 13:8
They are both invisible
Colossians 1:15
They know when we are good & bad
Hebrews 4:13
They will both come as a thief in the night
1 Thessalonians 5:2
They both ride on the clouds
Matthew 24:30
They both sit on a throne
Psalm 47:8
They both love the little children
Mark 10:14

“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”   ~Revelation 3:21

Child with Santa
Jesus Christ

The battle for souls—Satan and his demons disguised as Santa and his helpers versus Jesus and His Angels. He knows he can’t be the King of kings, but he will continue to turn our children away from the truth of King Jesus. It’s not hard to see who’s really behind this folklore? Just switch two little letters, and you will see the answer . . . SANTA or SATAN? It’s no coincidence that Santa is an anagram of the word Satan.

The real truth is that Santa isn’t coming to town, but Jesus most certainly is. And this is the story we better start telling to our children. You might ask, why would Satan want to steal Christmas? The answer is simple, it’s because he is jealous of Jesus! The whole Santa thing distracts parents from telling their children the truth of who Jesus really is! Why do parents choose to tell their children a lie to sell the Santa hoax, when they could just as easily tell them the truth about Jesus? Because it’s what we’ve been taught! How often do parents actually tell their children that Jesus is coming?

It all comes down to this one question, who will you worship, Jesus or His imposture? The time has come for us to become faithful to God. Every time we acknowledge Santa as the king of Christmas, we denounce Jesus as the KING OF KINGS! Might really want to rethink the whole Santa thing—think about this the next time you consider taking your kids to see Santa at the department store, and maybe choose instead to take them to see the nativity with the baby Jesus at your local church.

“These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”   ~Revelation 17:14

You might say that I was a rather late spiritual bloomer, tripping my way into the Lord's arms not all that long ago. Nevertheless, I've been on the fast track ever since through a decade of Bible study courses and daily devotion. Changing careers a few years back and becoming a published author of Christian motivational books, leading to spiritual children's books and now this blog.

  1. Our Lord wouldn’t want to take any celebrations and family gatherings away from us, that is why he commanded us to keep HIS seven feasts.
    New King James Version
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”

    1. In response to your comment, I’m going to agree with you that of course the Lord would not want to take away any celebrations that He commands us to keep. These 7 feasts that you’re referring to are not the holidays that this article is talking about. These are the feasts days that pointed to Jesus.

      1. Passover — Leviticus 23:4-8
      2. Unleavened Bread — Leviticus 23:6
      3. First Fruits — Leviticus 23:10
      4. Feast of Weeks — Leviticus 23:16
      5. Feast of Trumpets — Leviticus 23:24
      6. Day of Atonement — Leviticus 16, 23:26-32
7.Feast of Tabernacles or Booths — Leviticus 23:34

To be perfectly honest with you nowhere in the Bible is holiday known as Christmas mentioned. If you choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, do that then. However, adding Santa Claus into the mix is in no way Christian. If you read that article,

it is simple explaining the comparison between Jesus and Santa, and how humans have given this fictitious Santa Clause the same attributes as Jesus Christ.

However, here is an even deeper look into the evolution of modern day holidays that have all evolved from paganism.

Hope this helps clear up some of the fog that has been created by these man-made holy days.

  2. Thank you for your information on Santa. Jesus is Lord of all.
Why do think Pastors will not teach on this ?
I am teaching a ladies group Saturday about this.
    God bless

    1. Most all Pastors avoid any topic that might make them unpopular with the majority of their congregation. It’s sad but it’s true that most Pastors teach a very altered gospel/truth. How popular would they be if they told their churches that they shouldn’t eat unclean foods or have sex out of wedlock or that the seventh-day Sabbath is still God’s chosen day of rest? Stay strong in the pure word of God. I advise the KJV as the best source of the unadulterated word.
Thanks for your comment & question.
      Blessings,
      Linda~
