satan deceives the whole world

False teachings today!

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”   ~Colossians 2:8

There are many warnings in the Bible that tell us to beware of false teachings—especially of false teachings today. We have all been deceived at some time regarding what is truth. God tells us in no uncertain terms that there is but one truth, and that is His infallible Word!

If we trust God, we must trust, and follow His word rather than the ways of this world. The world is corrupted, more today than ever before. Whether we like it or not, pretty much everything that is spewed by any form of media is no longer truth. Humanity, in general, hates the truth. They want what they want when they want it! The way of this world has become so full of greed and deception that it’s nearly impossible to find truth anywhere. The word of God is our only source of truth in this cesspool of corruption!

”And with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”   ~2 Thessalonians 2:10

We are entering into end times. Anyone that reads and understands the prophecies of the Bible knows this. That being said, it’s time to make a choice as to who we will believe, man or God. If we choose God, then we must understand that this great apostasy is the subversion of God’s truth, and is a betrayal and heresy of the Holy Word of God. It is the opposite of loyalty to God’s word, it is sacrilegious blasphemy! We must hold wholly to His word. However, the only way to make this decision is to know the truth, and the only way to know the truth is to pray, read, and study to understand the scriptures. Then we must hold solely to the infallible word of Almighty God!

”He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded. The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.”   ~Proverbs 13:13-14

The next four verses explain the outcome of following the beliefs of this world rather than the word of God. The commandment and the law in the previous verses are referring to the word of God. We know this because verse 13 begins with “He who despises the word.”

Good understanding gains favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool lays open his folly. A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful ambassador brings health. Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored.”   ~Proverbs 13:15-18

Verse 15 starts by telling us that we must have a good understanding of the word of God. The unfaithful is referring to those who don’t hold to the laws and commandments in the Bible. This knowledge that we must have is an understanding of the word of God! These wicked messengers are those who speak an altered version of the Bible—those who repeat the lies and misinformation they’ve been taught. This faithful ambassador is the person who accepts every word in the scriptures as the truth, they are faithful in sharing the gospel truth of the Bible, word for word! And lastly is the result of disdain, which means refusing to accept correction regarding these false teachings—refusing to say, guess I was wrong in what I believed, and then be willing to turn from error. But if you accept rebuke (correction), you will be honored by God. God honors those who honor Him, and we honor Him by keeping and sharing His word!

“The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”   ~Galatians 6:8

Our sinful nature is our tendency to this prideful behavior. And, if we are so prideful that we refuse to accept that we’ve been deceived—that we’ve been believing an error—we will ultimately be destroyed. I know this might seem harsh, but God allows us the free will to choose, even when that free will choice leads to our very own destruction.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”   ~Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT

We are free agents to learn for ourselves what the word of God says. We don’t have to blindly follow along with whatever our church teaches. Believe it or not, most churches have been led astray on multiple levels and are teaching a very altered version of what the Bible says. We can choose for ourselves what is truth according to the Holy Bible, and what is false teaching. Allow the upright to guide you. You will know them because they will guide you to the only source of truth, the KJV of the Bible. Don't give way to the false doctrine of others and allow it to destroy you.

“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”   ~Proverbs 11:3

At some point, we all need to make our own decision as to what we believe is truth. According to God, His word is truth, therefore everything else is a lie. If we can just get our brains wrapped around this one thing, everything else will fall into place. We must simply stop believing everything everyone tells us, and start reading the word of God for ourselves.

“That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.”   ~Ephesians 4:14

False teachings in the church.

This is what’s referred to as the Great Apostasy. It is the condition of the Christian church from the time of the Reformation till now. It is the falling away of Christianity from the original scriptural faith founded by Jesus. It is the foregoing of great portions of scripture as well as the rewriting and changing of everything . . . from Bible verses to the Ten Commandments!

According to the Bible, we are entering the latter times. The signs are all around us but most people don’t know this because they don’t know the word of God. We are repeatedly warned of this apostasy in the Bible and are told to hold to the Commandments and the faith of Jesus Christ.

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.”   ~1 Timothy 4:1-2

We must understand that this great apostasy is the subversion of God’s truth, and is a betrayal and heresy of the Holy Word of God. It is the opposite of loyalty to God’s word, it is sacrilegious blasphemy!

This undermining of God’s word is being taught as truth throughout most Christianity. Mainstream Christians don’t have a clue that they are being taught a false doctrine—a deviation from the word of God.

We need to accept the eternal danger of deviating from God’s word, and then we need to share this knowledge with others.

"The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.”   ~Proverbs 10:8 & 29

Make no mistake; the way of the Lord is the Law and Commandments, and the workers of iniquity are those that transgress the law.

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”   ~1 John 3:4 KJV

By God’s own words, it is a sin to deliberately disobey His Law and Commandments. And in stark contrast, Jesus tells us that those who do the will of His Father are His brothers and sisters.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”   ~Matthew 7:21

If we choose to ignore His words, we are putting ourselves on a very slippery slope. By this act of disobedience, we are saying that He doesn’t care if we obey His word (His Laws and Commandments), just as long as we say we believe in Him.

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”   ~James 2:19

In the end, we choose life or death by what we think and do. Destruction is the ultimate end of those who disregard the word of God and choose to ignore God’s warnings. Yes, eternal death is this destruction God is talking about. But those that heed His warnings, and repent and turn from disregarding His word, and cling to it…all of it, accepting that Jesus has us covered—to them is giving the right to the tree of eternal life!

“Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death.”   ~Proverbs 19:16 NLT

But once we learn this rather frightening fact, how can we walk it back? Isn’t it too late because we’ve already disobeyed Him by following false teachings, and in so doing have sinned? How can we undo what we did before we knew the truth? We can’t, but He can, and did, at the cross! This is why Jesus died—He died as the payment for our sins! Not that we should continue in sin but rather that we are changed by His life-giving act of forgiveness and restoration—pardon and eternal salvation.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”   ~1 John 1:9

We must do both, believe and obey His word. We will be endowed with wisdom when we read His word and empowered to obey. The wisdom that is received by the reader of the word of God is the secret to understanding. Wisdom and truth will enter the center of your being. She, wisdom, is the ultimate result of ingesting God’s pure perfect word. The word of God is truth and wisdom!

“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.”   ~Proverbs 3:1 & 18

If we believe He is who He says He is, and the Bible is true and He did what He said He did, we will be saved that accept this as truth. All we have to do is trust and obey. The obeying part is where most people stop. But that’s the most important part according to His word. If we don’t obey, then we really don’t believe.

“And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.”   ~Hebrews 5:9

God’s plan of redemption is spelled out in the Bible from cover to cover. Jesus took our penalty for our sins and gave us the gift of eternal life. Obedience to His word is the proof of our faith.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”   ~Romans 6:23

Satan is on a great mission to deceive as many as he can. He has set out to deceive the whole world and is using anyone he can find to spew his lies. We need to understand that we have the power to learn the truth and in so doing we can be set free from all of his deceptions.

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”   ~Revelation 12:9

False teachings today from that old serpent.

The devil has many people in high places that are doing his work. He can influence anyone to do his bidding—anyone who doesn’t know the truth of the word of God is susceptible to his deception. The only way to be sure of what you believe to be truth is to make certain it is in line with the word of God.

“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”   ~2 Peter 2:1

The fallen Christian churches are the apostate churches. We have all been deceived to believe a very altered version of the Bible. It’s not our fault that we’ve been lied to. But it is our power to read for ourselves what the true word of God says!

”Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”   ~Revelation 14:12

Those of us who choose to accept Jesus as the risen Savior of humanity—that have the patience to seek out the truth no matter where it leads, and hold to every word— these are the saints of the Most High God.

Make a choice to stop being deceived. Make a choice to learn the truth. Get a King James Version of the Bible, sit down in a quiet place, say a prayer and ask for understanding, and start reading!

“And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”   ~Revelation 22:10 & 14
