“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come” ~2 Timothy 3:1
“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” ~Revelation 7:2&3
In the above verses, we see another angel coming from the east, this means he is coming from heaven with a message from God. We also see why these angels are holding back the trouble, they are giving time for God’s people, His true servants, to get sealed. This seal is in their foreheads; meaning they have chosen with their minds to believe and obey God. The forehead area of the brain is where we make our decisions.
The Bible tells us that we will all receive an identifying mark, either from God or from Satan. God knows who will be faithful to Him—obedient to His infallible word/the Holy Bible. He also knows who will choose not to obey His word but rather go their own way. These are those who will be under the influence of the devil, and he will deceive and fool just about everyone. Only those who truly know the truth from the Bible—the unfailing, infallible word of God—won't be fooled into submission.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” ~Revelation 12:9
By obeying God and worshipping as He instructs us, we are honoring Him as our Creator. The entire Bible is a lesson book on how we should follow after His ways, forsaking our own convoluted ideas, and holding solely to His Laws and Commandments.
As we’ve discussed in previous posts, when these verses refer to receiving Satan’s mark, (the mark of the beast) in our heads, this simply means we agree to or believe in the "system" that is being implemented. This beast system will be put in place to coerce people to think a certain way or force them to do certain things... the "for the good of the nation” line of thinking. Case in point, just think of all the mandates lately, do this and do that for the good of the many!
The references to the mark in the hand simply means you will eventually act on these beliefs. Our belief system is what determines what we think and how we act on these thoughts. Our actions are also the way we will ultimately choose which mark we will receive.
If God is telling us that this is something in (not on) our heads, we need to take a deeper look into all of these verses that speak of these marks. The following verse indisputably tells us that this is not a physical mark, but rather the thoughts in our hearts and souls, and our subsequent actions.
“Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.” ~Deuteronomy 11:18
A sign, a seal, and a mark are all referring to the same thing, an identifier/a mark of ownership. Either God or Satan will have possession of our eternal souls!
”Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.” ~Ezekiel 20:12
”Hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.” ~Ezekiel 20:20
"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" ~Revelation 14:12
“Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!” ~Deuteronomy 5:29
Just as Revelation 14:9-11 describes the mark of the beast— the previous verses describe how to avoid the mark of the beast! They also tell us exactly who these righteous saints will be when Christ returns; how we will know them, what their identifier will be, and precisely what this seal of God is. And lastly, is the reality that always keeping God’s Commandments will be a blessing forever!
Why a mark IN our heads?
We must always go to the KJV whenever there is any change in any Bible verse. Most revised versions have changed all verses regarding this particular topic to read; ON their foreheads and ON their hands. The original King James Version says, IN...not ON!
“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.” ~Deuteronomy 6:6-8
We must first understand that in the Bible; the heart and the brain are a reference to the same thing. The Hebrew translation for the word mind is heart. So whenever the word heart is used, it is a reference to the mind or the brain. In our minds is where we remember things, not in our hearts. Our heart is a muscle, a blood pump, so-to-speak. So, why does God want His Commandments bound to our hand and in our heart/mind, a/k/a/our frontlets? And what exactly are the frontlets of our brain?
The word frontlets in these verses is referring to the frontal lobes of our brains. It is the most forward part of our brain located right behind our foreheads. This is the part of our brain that’s responsible for decision-making, memory, problem-solving, and so on. It’s also the place in our brains where we develop our belief system. So, if God is telling us that He’s putting a seal or mark in the front of our foreheads, He’s saying He knows how we will think or choose regarding these most important decisions—He is marking or sealing us according to this foreknowledge.
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” ~Revelation 14:9-10
How do we get the mark of the beast?
The ‘’mark of the beast” in Revelation signals an allegiance to Satan and identifies those who reject God’s memorial of creation, choosing to follow the altered commandments of the Church of Rome.
We must understand that this is an act of loyalty and an end-times exhibition of who we are choosing—by how we are worshipping. Obedience to the word of God or the rules of man will indicate which mark you have chosen to be identified with. How we worship (what day of the week we keep holy) determines who we worship, God or man. God says the seventh day, man says the first day. Who will you obey?
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” ~Revelation 22:12 & 14
We are seeing an increase in frequency as well as the intensity of natural disasters all over the world. The recent earthquakes in Mexico and Guatemala, the hurricane devastation of the Caribbean islands, as well as the extreme flooding in Texas, raging fires in Oregon, and now one of the worst hurricanes in history hitting Florida might make us begin to ponder this question. Why does God allow these things to happen when He could very well prevent them?
Here’s a bit of eye-opening truth…God is not to blame for these things! Sin is what has caused all of this planetary devolution to occur. We are living in a fallen world, a corrupted, deteriorating planet, along with everything on it. God is starting to remove His restraining hand from this world. So Satan is now unleashing his fury because he’s fully aware that his time is short. In the Bible God tells us of the coming of these end times events.

Just here in the U.S. the extreme recent flooding in Texas, the raging fires in Oregon, and one of the worst hurricanes might make us begin to ponder this question. Why does God allow these things to happen when He could very well prevent them?

The degeneration of everything . . . all living creatures, animals and even plants. As well as the worsening of the weather and increase of planetary devastation are all the byproduct and the effect of a broken and fallen world.
Can God stop it? Yes. Will He stop it? Yes, but not until every person has made their decision either for or against Jesus. Not until everyone has heard of the gift of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus, and have made their choice, will this mess finally come to an end.

God has predicted everything through His servants the prophets, and will see us through it to the end if we just hold tightly to Him!

You tell me. The following verses paint a pretty clear picture regarding every aspect of life as far as I’m concerned.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”~2 Timothy 3:1-5
“… In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” ~Jude 1:18ESV
”But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”~Matthew24:37

Wouldn’t you say this sounds exactly how things are in this very day and age? There’s such an enormous surge in wickedness of every kind. Crime is running rampant, murder and rape are at an all time high. Sexual immorality, pornography, multiple sex partners, indulgence in unnatural lust/homosexuality/incest/ transgenderism, and abortion, as well as overindulgence in every possible thing. Pride and greed have become the all-consuming ruler of this present world.
Oh yes, I’d have to say we are most definitely heading into the last days. God tells us that once this order of event starts, it will not end until everything that God has predicted happens. And this is all the more reason to believe that soon Jesus will come again to execute judgment upon the evildoers and restore order, peace, love, and justice upon this earth.
Wouldn’t you say this sounds exactly how things are in this very day and age? There’s such an enormous surge in wickedness of every kind. Crime is running rampant, murder and rape are at an all time high. Sexual immorality, pornography, multiple sex partners, indulgence in unnatural lust/homosexuality/incest/ transgenderism, and abortion, as well as overindulgence in every possible thing. Pride and greed have become the all-consuming ruler of this present world.
Oh yes, I’d have to say we are most definitely heading into the last days. God tells us that once this order of event starts, it will not end until everything that God has predicted happens. And this is all the more reason to believe that soon Jesus will come again to execute judgment upon the evildoers and restore order, peace, love, and justice upon this earth.
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Clearly, the majority of the world is choosing to reject God and His grace filled offer of redemption. However, there is still time for you to choose to give your heart to Jesus. You will then receive the seal of God (Revelation 7:2-3) and be protected when the four winds are totally released and Satan has full control of this world. Oh yes, God’s people shall be delivered, that is a promise!
Clearly, the majority of the world is choosing to reject God and His grace filled offer of redemption. However, there is still time for you to choose to give your heart to Jesus. You will then receive the seal of God (Revelation 7:2-3) and will be protected when the four winds are totally released and Satan has full control of this world. Oh yes, God’s people shall be delivered, that is a promise!

We are to keep ALL the Commandments of God. His laws are everlasting, that means they will never end. The only law that was done away with was the sacrificial law in that we no longer have to sacrifice a lamb every time we sin because Christ died once for all!
