It's time!

How to start the new year off right?

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."   ~Ezekiel 36:26

Have your New Year’s resolutions failed already? Are you ready for a resolution re-do? Start the New Year off right with God! He is ready and waiting to give you a do-over.

God promises to give us a new heart—a new spirit! Are you ready for the return of our Lord? Have you given your heart to Jesus—surrendered to Him and accepted His gift of eternal life? Where will you be when the eternal clock strikes midnight? Will you be ready to go with Him, to enter eternity, or are you still undecided?

Jesus is called the bridegroom of those that believe in Him, and the believers are His bride. He is coming soon—at the midnight hour—on the final day to take us home.

Start the New Year off right!

“And at midnight a cry was heard:

Behold, the bridegroom is coming;

go out to meet him!"   ~Matthew 25:6

The midnight hour that the above verse is referring to is the second coming of Christ. Are you ready to meet Him? Have you made things right with God yet, or are you waiting for a better time? You better stop waiting because time is most definitely running out!

We are in the eleventh hour! Simply put, Jesus is coming soon. The time is upon us now. We need to establish our relationship with our Creator before it’s too late. Everything you need to know is in the Bible. All you have to do is say a prayer for God’s Holy Spirit to open your eyes and ears to understand what your about to read, then open that Bible and jump in. He will do all the hard work, I promise. When we allow Jesus to lead us—we will be learning from the Master himself. Then learning the truth becomes easy, breezy.

“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”   ~Matthew 11:29-30

We need His guidance today more than ever. It's the only way to know the truth regarding everything that's about to happen. We must read and study with His help. This is what Jesus means when He says He will guide us into all truth.

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."   ~John 16:13

The world is overflowing with deception and lies. You literally can’t believe anything you hear or read anymore. Evil is taking over at an unbelievable pace, and the great deceiver is out to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes.

The only way we can be assured that we are accurately informed is to trust the word of God and nothing else. This learning process is often referred to as sola-scriptura, meaning the Bible is the sole infallible source of authority and truth. Understanding this is more important today than ever in the history of mankind. Trusting the infallibility of the Bible is the only way to be absolutely certain of the truth. The true word of God is our only safe source of information. Humanity has become so evil that false news and manmade lies are nothing more than the fuel of mental manipulation.

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."   ~John 16:13

Starting the new year off right with God—

Jesus is a God of do-overs and a King of second chances. He wants everyone to accept His gift of forgiveness and receive the blessing of eternal life with Him and all of our loved ones. He desires that none should perish in the coming firestorm. And the only way He can keep us safe from this terrible end is to tell us how to avoid it!

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”   ~2 Peter 3:9-10

This might sound terrifying to some people. But the truth is that there is a firestorm brewing and it’s heading this way to the planet earth. It is the ultimate regeneration storm that will rid the earth of sin forever.

If you’ve been hesitating about getting to know your Creator, do it now. Stop procrastinating! Time is truly running out. I can assure you that this will be the best decision you’ve ever made. Take a step in faith. Take this opportunity to ask Jesus into your life, just ask Him to guide you into His will for your life. And then keep talking to Him in all that you do—don’t let go and He will get you through to the end. He will cover you with a fireproof blanket of protection. He died on a cross to guarantee your eternity. Put on His robe of righteousness, and rest assured . . . He will never let you go.

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”   ~Revelation 22:12

But, you might ask, what do I have to do to get this process started? Don’t I have to live differently—go to church all the time, and give all my stuff away? Well, to this I say, there is nothing you can do to ensure your eternal salvation but to believe that Jesus already did everything that had to be done.

“So they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”   ~Acts 16:31

You might say that I was a rather late spiritual bloomer, tripping my way into the Lord's arms not all that long ago. Nevertheless, I've been on the fast track ever since through a decade of Bible study courses and daily devotion. Changing careers a few years back and becoming a published author of Christian motivational books, leading to spiritual children's books and now this blog.
