The Bible is the absolute truth.

Is the Bible really all true?

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”   ~John 17:17

How can I know that everything in the Bible is true—that every word is from God? If you study the Bible, the King James Version being the least corrupted version, you will discover that it fits together like a well thought out puzzle—every piece/verse fitting together perfectly with another!

The Bible is the absolute truth.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”   ~Hebrews 4:12

You might ask; how can I believe the whole Bible, didn’t man write this book? And unfortunately every area of life has been saturated with this lie, but the fact of the matter is that every word is from the mouth of God, man simply wrote down what God inspired.

The devil has gone to great lengths to try to disprove God’s word to get humanity to disbelieve the Bible, but every word is still true, and the word of God stands forever. To this day people protest, surely in this modern age things are different, doesn’t the word of God change with the times—don’t some things that God said expire as times dictate?

“The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.”   ~Psalm 119:160

All of God’s words will stand the test of time. Not one word will need to be changed. God knew that the Bible would be translated, and therefore used certain words that would be translated accordingly. He didn’t so much as make one single mistake.

Why do I need the whole Bible. . . ?

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”   ~2 Timothy 3:16

A church without a solid foundation is not a church of God. Every word of the Bible has an important purpose. If the word of God is compromised, the truth is lost. Jesus is the foundation of the true church of God, and God’s Commandments are truth.

“You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth.”   ~Psalm 119:151

The Church can not stand if we remove the foundation. Like the old saying says, if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. And that’s exactly what’s been happening to the Christian church for many hundreds of years. The word of God has been corrupted, cut and diced, and rewritten to the liking of man.

Far too many of God’s words have been changed to make it more palatable to modern day living. Even the very core of His word, the Ten Commandments, have been changed. Take a good hard look at the fourth Commandment. God said the seventh day is My chosen day of rest, man said the first day.  When do you worship; on the first day of the week, or on the seventh day as God ordained? Are you following the dictates of man or of God?

“For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”   ~Matthew 5:18-19

Ask yourself this one question, has the earth passed away yet? Well then, I guess the entire Bible still stands, including the commandments! God clearly warns us not to change so much as a single jot or tittle, meaning the smallest amount. God warns us about anyone changing anything in the Bible!

"You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the Commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.”   ~Deuteronomy 4:2

Oh, you say, that’s Old Testament stuff, God changed all the Commandments when He sent Jesus! Hmmmm…. the following is very much New Testament, in fact, it’s in the very last book of the New Testament and is third to the last verse of the entire Bible!

“And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”   ~Revelation 22:19

And lastly, the word forever is used over and over again referring to the enduring never changing word of God!

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”   ~Isaiah 40:8

Q:  Are you willing to trust the eternal word of God?

You might say that I was a rather late spiritual bloomer, tripping my way into the Lord's arms not all that long ago. Nevertheless, I've been on the fast track ever since through a decade of Bible study courses and daily devotion. Changing careers a few years back and becoming a published author of Christian motivational books, leading to spiritual children's books and now this blog.
